On 1 January 2023, Lula da Silva assumed the presidency of Brazil for the third time. It is expected that his government will substantially reduce social inequality, provide effective climate and environmental protection, and strengthen democratic institutions that have been severely shaken during the presidency of the radical right-winger Jair Bolsonaro. In this event, the perspectives and challenges posed to Brazil at this crucial moment will be discussed. The event will be conducted in English without translation.
