The Centre is led by the Executive Board, consisting of representatives of the seven consortium members, one representative of the Postdoctoral Researchers, and the Scientific Manager.

Each year, the Executive Board elects four Directors (two from the German and two from the Latin American partner institutions) to coordinate the Centre. Two Directors will be based in São Paulo during their terms, while the other two chair the Centre from their home institutions.

An Ethics Committee and an Advisory Board composed of outstanding scholars and representatives of civil society closely follow the activities of the Centre to ensure scientific excellence and social relevance in all research and outreach activities, as well as transparency, gender balance, and intersectional equity in all selection processes.

The Coordination Office, based both in São Paulo and in Berlin, is responsible for the operational management of the Centre and reports to the Directors and the Executive Board.
