Freie Universität Berlin

About the event

On June 18th, students and scholars discussed processes of establishing coexistence with/about difference (conviviality) in Brazil from different disciplinary perspectives: literature and culture, social sciences and history.

The three panels focused on topics such as colonialism, slavery, migration and the challenges of dealing with difference. Held at the Lateinamerika-Institut (LAI) the event was part of the MA-course “Conviviality in Brazil – from colonial times to today” and was organized by the students of the seminar.
